As assets of UHR, It has a house in the Guwahati city of Assam, which provides accommodation for the volunteers. And also the family members of UHR from the different villages arranges for the volunteer's stay with them. These arrangements provide only simple accommodations and local food with the people without any extra facilities, which gives the volunteers all the privilege to get into the people and be one with them.

UHR has established a handloom unit using traditional technology in a flood-affected village 70 kilometers west of Guwahati, which is now the only source of income for some tribal weavers.

UHR has setup a number of bamboo crafts manufacturing units in villager's houses in lower Assam and providing sustenance to these families of below poverty line.

Presently UHR is promoting the handicrafts of the rural artisans in the southern parts of India. It has setup a promoting center in a rented house in Mysore, Karnataka, South India, which also provides accommodation for 1-2 volunteers at a time.
