IF WE DO NOT SAVE OURSELVES, WHO WOULD SAVE US THEN
[Poverty and illusion] [Resource Illusion] [Paying the Price] [Sustainable systems]

The earth is an integrated, interdependent living organism of which we are an integral part. Yet our addictions to profit, power and the lifestyles we sustain is turning the world TOXIC.
A cocktail of our pollutants causes acidification of soil and water and hence the degradation of all that depends on these elements for their and our survival. Forests are our richest biological systems providing raw material for medicine and research. Trees are vital to our existence, they moderate and conserve incoming energy, they are ground water moderators, nutrient, food and oxygen providers, they conserve, construct, and protect our valuable soil, and contribute to our global weather patterns. When trees are removed, the soil structure collapses, the water table raises bringing toxic chemicals to the surface, the soil biota dies, and the soil structure becomes cemented preventing re-vegetation creating deserts.
